Retreat in Himalayas : Yoga & Meditation

Location: GHANGARIA a small hamlet situated on the banks of holy Laxman Ganga and in the foothills of the Himalayas. Ghangaria is base camp for Hemkund Sahib, a popular pilgrimage site for Sikhs which is about 6 km from here and the Valley of Flowers, a UNESCO world heritage listed national park known for its variety of flowers about 5 km from here.

It is an ideal and tranquil setting for spiritual practice. The sounds of nature in the morning and evening breezes, mingling with birdsong and augmenting the peaceful and contemplative aura of Ghangaria. One can have the best experience here in terms of their stay and hospitality.

History: It is believed that god Lakshman, the younger brother of Ram, is said to have meditated or done penance at Lokpal(HemkundShahib).

The same place where King Pandu, the forefather of the five Pandava brothers of Mahabharata fame, practiced yoga here. Also the tenth Guru of Sikh, Guru Govindsinghjihas practiced Yoga and did intense meditation here.

Terrace: Yoga can also be done on the Hotel terrace which provides a scenic view of the Himalayas. The cool air coming from the Laxman Gang and the Himalayas brings a lot of positivity and vital energy to the mind and soul.
Doing pranayama (breathing exercises) in this open-air environment fills your body with essential vital energy and boosts the process of cleansing and self-repair.

Verandah: Here, individual or small group sessions are conducted on yoga and meditation.
